Why we’re loving Novotel’s new brand positioning
Living a long, healthy and vibrant life is on most people’s to-do list. And while we know many of the things that will help it become a reality, in the middle of a busy working life we can push many of our good intentions onto tomorrow’s to do list!
That’s why I’ve been struck by Novotel’s new brand positioning, “Longevity Everyday.” Rather than treating longevity as an elite wellness pursuit, it reframes it as something built through small, repeatable daily habits—grounded in four simple pillars: Eat, Sleep, Move, Meet. I can;t tell you thrilled I am to see a global brand headlining with a longevity-centred brand position rather than the ubiquity of youth-obsession!
Anyone who has followed our work for a while will know that when it comes to small, repeatable and achievable habits, we’re all in! And combine this with a positive longevity message, we’re ready to book in to our local Novotel and test it out!
This framing of longevity as being an everyday practice aligns closely with how we work with people at Life Navigation Lab—especially those navigating the complexity and pressure of mid‑career life, or setting themselves up for success in a new life phase.

“Longevity is a […] positive, purposeful, forward looking concept. It’s all about small improvements that compound over time.”
Jean-Yves Minet, Novotel Global Brand President
Supporting your longevity isn’t about doing more.
At this stage of life, most people aren’t looking for another program or productivity hack to add to the list of things they’re already juggling – and they certainly don’t need an aspirational goal that actually sets them up to fail and feel just a bit more crap about themselves.
Longevity, when it’s intentional, isn’t about optimisation. It’s about alignment—designing your days so they actively support the life and health you want for the next 10, 20, 30 years.
Novotel’s four pillars – sleep, eat, move, meet, are a simple and easy to remember framing of where to start.
What I appreciate most about Longevity Everyday is that it doesn’t promise a quick fix or a magical transformation. It encourages daily, habitual actions and decisions that compound over time.
And that makes meaningful change possible, even in mid‑career, mid-life, mid-everything professionals!
Most of us don’t need a total life overhaul. We need a few small shifts that are realistic, repeatable, and make us feel good. And that’s the sweet spot of intentional longevity: designing a life that supports health, meaning, and momentum—one ordinary day at a time.
Longevity doesn’t start later. It’s not something to start thinking about when you move into life beyond work.
It starts now, at whatever age or stage you’re at, in the ordinary structure of your everyday.
